Education
- University of St Andrews - BSc (Hons) Mathematics (2024-2027)
- Current honours GPA: 19.95 / 20
- Sub-honours GPA: 19.75 / 20
Research Experience
- Completed a 6-week summer research project in algebraic combinatorics during summer 2025, supervised by Dr Thomas Coleman (click for report).
- Presented my research poster at the British Conference of Undergraduate Research 2026 (click for poster).
- Presented my research poster at the Laidlaw Scholars Conference 2025, awarded highly commended by a Commissioning Editor at Taylor and Francis Group.
Awards
- EPSRC vacation scholarship: Awarded to complete an 8-week summer research internship in Mathematics.
- Tullis Medal and Prize: Awarded to the best student(s) in Second Level Pure Mathematics.
- Deans’ List: For academic excellence in the year 2024-2025.
- Laidlaw Leadership and Research scholarship: Awarded to complete a 6-week summer research project in Mathematics and a 6-week summer outreach project in Boston, Massachusetts.
Software
- Digraphs package for GAP for computing with directed graphs. Contributed to the following functions:
- IsCograph: decides if a given symmetric digraph is a cograph.
- DigraphMinimumCut and DigraphMinimumCutSet: finds the minimum cut and corresponding minimum cut set of a flow network.
- Is2EdgeTransitive: decides if a given digraph is 2-edge transitive.
Talks
- Combinatorial Nullstellensatz: Gave a talk at an undergraduate Mathematics retreat on Combinatorial Nullstellensatz,
including a proof of the Cauchy-Davenport theorem and a solution to an International Mathematical Olympiad problem (click for slides).
Teaching
- This summer, I will be acting as an instructor with the Timothy Smith Network for their Boston Design Academy programme. I will be teaching HTML, CSS and web design principles
to high school-aged students in the Boston area.
